As Cinderella’s fairytale evening ends and Mr. Schlump leaves the building Lutheran North’s fairytale evening came and went. But the difference between Cinderella and Lutheran North is that juniors and seniors are in reality and have to pay for everything somehow unlike Cinderella who has a fairy godmother who gives her everything she wants by a wave of her wand. Is there ways to get all that is needed for prom nearly free? Or is it better to go the expensive route?
Something new, something old, something blue, and something borrowed. “If someone were going to prom the cheapest as possible one way would to borrow someone’s prom dress they wore previously. For junior girl’s, this would be a good idea due to the fact they still have senior prom and should pull out all the stops since it is their last dance ever at North” said, senior Angela Givens.
When it comes to a high school dance for girls there are a lot of choices to choose from, for example what color of dress, the length of the dress, and how they want their hair to look like.“In this economy Saving money is a great advantage when it comes to high school dance, but also has its disadvantages,” said Givens, continuing, “The girl may possibly feel a little less special, because they didn’t get that typical feeling we get when we see the dress in the store and just have to get it and there also could be slight damages to the dress.”
Everyone has preference on how to get errands done when it comes to buying new clothes.“The best way for senior’s is as Expensive as possible because it is my senior prom and these kinds of events happen only once in a lifetime,”said Givens, continuing, “When seniors look back at their high school career they want to remember the great time they had at every school activity they went to, because graduation is fast approaching”said Givens. As senior year goes by most look back at the choices they made and think of ways that they could have made that decision better. “The down side of going the expensive route is that it is a lot of money to spend that could be spent on more important needs rather than on wants.
In life people have to make their own decisions on their own terms, because every one they make could hurt them in the future.
